Mediation your way

We believe that, even a neutral mediation process such as any good mediator offers, benefits from an appreciation of the background and culture of the participants.

If you are in dispute, however simple or complicated, and you would like to try to resolve it without going to court, why not give us a call or drop us an e-mail? Whatever your beliefs or values, you can be sure of our neutrality, empathy and skills.

It might be the best thing you ever did.

Remember that humanity lives only in the present, in this fleeting instant: all the rest of life is either past and gone, or not yet revealed.

— Marcus Aurelius Roman Emperor and philosopher

Mediation is a way to help solve disputes

At the Mediation Chambers, our qualified mediators consider another, vital, factor - culture. We believe that, even a neutral mediation process such as any good mediator offers, benefits from an appreciation of the background and culture of the participants.

Our partners all have long experience of living and working outside their native culture. Thus, they are better able to be sensitive to differences in culture. What this means for the mediation process is greater rapport with the participants and the ability to ask questions that are suitable and relevant to them, to their culture.

Problem

Problem

Mediation is a way to help solve disputes without resorting to time consuming and expensive legal court cases. Typically, mediators help participants in a dispute to sit down together and talk about their arguments.

Many people in dispute have never met the ‘other side’. As a result, misunderstandings have arisen, feelings have been generated, and the dispute sometimes made worse, because of the lack of face-to-face conversation.

Our solution

Getting past these successfully involves communicating. Mediators are trained to:

1

Help those in dispute to discuss their dispute without the need to go to court

dispute to discuss

2

Provide a safe, confidential, environment for participants to explore potential solutions

3

Be a neutral, unbiased, facilitator towards a mutually agreed settlement of the dispute
