What this policy covers

Mediation Chambers Ltd operates https://mediationchambers.com, including its sector pages. This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage. Our Privacy Policy at https://mediationchambers.com/privacy-policy explains the wider use of personal information.

Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Local storage also saves information on a device but has no automatic expiry unless the website or browser applies one. The rules on storing or accessing information are not limited to items called cookies.

Your Google Analytics choices

The cookie notice offers Accept optional analytics, Reject optional analytics and Manage preferences. The website is configured to keep Google Analytics off until you accept. Browsing, scrolling or ignoring the notice does not count as acceptance. You can reject Google Analytics and still use the website, enquiry forms and advisor.

Choose Cookie preferences in the footer to change your decision. Turning optional analytics off is configured to stop future Google Analytics collection and remove relevant Google Analytics cookies within the website’s control. Withdrawal does not undo information already processed. These choices concern our Google Analytics implementation; the separate Base44 platform identifier is explained below.

Your stored preference is treated as valid for 90 days. The website has been configured to remove expired, unreadable, undated or obsolete-version choices when it checks them, turn optional analytics off and show the notice again. A valid choice is requested again after the period expires or when relevant purposes change.

Preference storage and configured analytics cookies

These are the website’s configured periods. Browsers can remove information earlier. Google’s server-side retention is separate: the account’s user and event retention settings have been set to two months, with reset on new user activity off. Standard aggregated reports are not governed by that same two-month setting.

What optional analytics measures

Google Analytics measures visits, pages, device/browser characteristics and enabled interactions to help improve the website. Identifiers can distinguish visits or browsers; the underlying measurement is not wholly anonymous.

We do not intentionally send enquiry text, advisor messages, names, email addresses or telephone numbers to Google Analytics. The application’s page-view code is configured to remove query strings and fragments, and the two newsletter link pages are excluded from measurement altogether. The account is configured without advertising and data-sharing integrations.

Cloudflare and form security

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect our forms and the AI advisor against automated abuse. It processes technical device, browser and network information. Turnstile normally provides a verification token; a clearance cookie depends on the particular pre-clearance configuration.

Alongside Turnstile, our server keeps security counts to limit repeated requests to forms and the AI advisor. Connection counts contain a pseudonymised network marker, the form or service, a fixed hourly window and a number of attempts; they contain no submitted message or file. Separate site-wide counts contain no connection identifier. These server-side counts do not themselves set browser storage. A count stops applying when its hour ends, but deletion follows at a later check or scheduled daily cleanup. Our Privacy Policy explains the normal active-log retention and separate supplier-held copies.

Cloudflare explains Turnstile verification and optional clearance cookies in its clearance documentation. The token and cookie arrangements depend on the widget and security configuration.

Base44 platform storage

The website runs on Base44. Its SDK has been found to create a local-storage identifier called base44_analytics_session_id and send an anonymous identifier header with requests independently of the application’s optional analytics module. The SDK code inspected did not give the stored identifier an expiry. It may be created before a visitor accepts Google Analytics. Base44 has confirmed that the current SDK has no setting to switch off this identifier or the anonymous identifier header, and that disabling its analytics module does not stop them.

Our Google Analytics controls apply to Google Analytics; rejecting or withdrawing optional analytics does not disable this separate Base44 behaviour. Base44 has not yet supplied its specific purposes, recipients or retention period for the identifier. We have requested clarification and any supported controls. We do not present this identifier as essential or claim that a consent exception has been established.

Configuration keys including base44_app_id and base44_functions_version may also be stored when the website loads. Authentication storage may be relevant if someone signs in. We do not classify every platform item as essential simply because the platform creates it.

Fonts are served locally. Advertising pixels are not part of the website’s configured analytics.

Browser controls and contact

Your browser can show, block or remove cookies and site storage. Blocking all storage may affect form-security checks or the ability to remember your preferences. You do not need browser controls to reject Google Analytics through our notice.
